DETA 1151 Fault

Hi All, 

I have a Deta 1151 smoke detector, and it was going off when I cam home last night. I thought it must be the battery, so I have purchased brand new Duracell batteries, replaced, and put back up, 5 mins after pushing the button to give me silence, its going off again. 

A neighbour is a fireman, and the fire engine just happened to come by this afternoon, so I got them to look at it - they did exactly the same as me, battery in, put it back up, and mains light was green, but red light would flash periodically, and then off it goes after 5 mins. 

Does anyone have any ideas? Date on the back is 2025.

Unfortunately though, the fireman who fitted the battery didn't put the ribbon behind it, so I can't get the battery out to give myself some peace and quiet! 

Hope you can help to regain my sanity!
