January 15, 200917 yr comment_7 Hi, We are currently looking into fire alarm testing practices. Would you be able to tell me how often a fire alarm system needs to be tested to conform with current regulations? I have been searching the web and found this information hard to come by. Also do you sell fire alarm log books? Thank you Report
January 22, 200917 yr comment_19 The fire alarm panel should be inspected visually on a daily basis for normal operation of the system and any defects should be recorded in a logbook and reported to a responsible person. A full system test should be carried out weekly including an examination of batteries and connections including electrolyte level, the test and any defects should be recorded in a logbook and reported to a responsible person. We do not sell fire alarm log books but we do have a free fire safety log book which contains a fire alarm testing section which can be downloaded below. I hope this helps you.
