Fire line plaster board floor trim

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am currently putting up a fire lined plaster board wall in my garage to create an office space. I have seen guidance that on the garage side I would need to place 150 mm high trim along the bottom of the wall where it meets the floor, just like a skirting board, but I cannot find anywhere that has 150 mm fire rated trim? Is this necessary or can I just use normal skirting to cover the gap between the floor and the fire lined plasterboard?

Many thanks

Could this be normal skirting or would it need to be fire rated?
