Silencing of Radio-interlinked Alarms

Featured Replies

With the radio-interlinked smoke alarms, how do you silence these? Do you just press one unit to silence them all?

Silencing the alarms in case of a false alarm: In case one of the units detects smoke, all alarms sound. To silence the alarms in case of a false alarm, press the hush button on the unit that has detected the smoke. This will silence all alarms. If you do not know which detector caused the alarm, you can silence each alarm individually by walking from alarm to alarm and pressing the hush button. This will silence the individual alarm but the other alarms will continue to sound. This prevents a person silencing the system in case of a real fire.
