so if I have travelled 10 meters in the bedroom that means I have 8 meters left to get to the nearest available final exit?

I need to measure the travel distance in the hotel from the room to the nearest available final exit. the distance from the corner of the room is 10 meters then the distance from the door room to the nearest available final exit is 18 meters How do I measure it ? do I include or exclude the distance in the bedroom
