Emergency Lighting in Staff areas

Hi all

I have been doing a bit of reading up on emergency lighting for my bed and breakfast.

I would like to know a little more about emergency lighting in staff ares. There are two call points by both the front and back doors in the staff area that currently don't have any emergency lighting. These areas are NOT emergency escape routes to be used by the public. Should these call points have emergency lights bearing in mind they are in public areas. There is an external fire escape for the public to use which has maintained emergency lights.

Thank you

All escape routes should have emergency lighting, if required, to ensure relevant persons can find their way out safely if the normal electricity supply fails, which includes the staff. The system should be installed according to BS 5266-1:2016 Emergency lighting. Code of practice for the emergency lighting of premises.
