im thinking of taking a lease on a shop and turning it into a tanning salon. the shop is approx 22m long and does not have a rear exit so there is only one exit at the front. is this legal for me to do or do i need a fire exit at the rear or is there away round this
Thanks

You don't necessarily need a rear exit it all depends on the layout of the shop and the travel distances. Go to http://www.firesafe....ety-order-2005/ and download the guidance document on offices and shops the information you need will be found there.
All my responses only apply to England and Wales and they are an overview of the subject, hopefully it will point you in the right direction and always treat with caution.   Scotland and Northern Ireland has differing legislation
